Lady showed up on the doorstep of a lady who works with a different rescue in north central Mississippi. She and her newborns were in a Walmart box with a note that said,
“Someone told me you work with a rescue. Can’t keep her and babies. Boyfriend will kill all if I keep them. Mom is a sweet girl.”

The rescue was full and couldn’t take these dogs in, but were kind enough to foster the dogs for us until we could get them up here on transport.

Lady is a 2 yo lab mix. Daddy is unknown.. Her puppies are about 9 weeks old.. They will be making their debut at the Petco in Poughkeepsie on Saturday. Please fill out an application beforehand to get pre-approved. www.careofdc.org
