Hi my name is Sweet Pea and the name is perfect for me. This is my story.

Momma BlueBelle was a stray living in an awful place, under a fallen-down house, with her litter of puppies. A friend of a friend discovered her plight and began the difficult task of rescuing the family. She caught six of the puppies fairly quickly, but two remained elusive and it took several trips before they were finally secure. Then it was mama’s turn. BlueBelle turned out to be very thankful to be rescued. She went from being an unsocialized stray to sleeping with her rescuer every night in just a few short days.

I am a lab/hound about 12 weeks old, my Mom was about 50 pounds, I don’t have any information about my Dad. All my siblings have been adopted and I am hoping to find a furever home. I dream about running in fields trying to catch butterflies and having one land on my nose.

I am a little shy but warm up quickly. I am staying with a foster family and I am learning manners. I am doing great with housebreaking and I sleep through the night. I learned some commands since Saturday, I am smart and a fast learner. I have mastered going up and down the stairs too! I get along great with other dogs.

I love running, long walks, belly rubs, tug of war and a good game of fetch. I enjoy taking showers, it’s like playing in the rain. I really enjoy the shampoo massage and am great with getting my nails clipped. Everyone tells me how soft and beautiful I am.

I have not spent any time with small children but I played with my fosters 11 year old nephew. We had a blast! I had that kid laughing with my funny antics.
