We need a very special foster or even better yet, an adopter, for this very special dog.
Everyone, meet Stevie. He is extra special because he not only is a doll, Stevie is blind. He is about 2 yo, small boy at about 30 lbs, some kind of boxer mix.
The head of the rescue, Karen LeCain saw a plea on facebook for Stevie, and Babygirl, our 3 legged beauty. Both of these dogs were in the south. Karen immediately knew she wanted to help these good dogs. She put out the call to our transport team who moved heaven and earth to get these two dogs transported up here to us. Stevie will be here, Sunday 3/17 and we would love him to be set up in a home prior to him coming here.
A little about Stevie. He likes slushies. He loves snuggling on the couch or bed and listening to movies. Understandably so, He is anxious to go out on a walk on the leash in unfamiliar territory but he runs and plays in the backyard with his foster dog brothers without any problem at all. He is doing great and is now housebroken. Of course he will need to adjust to his new place until he figures out the lay of the land. One of his eyeballs is actually missing. The vets do not feel the need to remove the other eye or do anymore work on the vacant socket.
