She is a 1 yr old spayed female hound mix, weighing in at about 40 lbs. This dog is smart, sweet, silly, playful, loyal, and affectionate. Lake is very bright, she notices everything around her, and she can be anxious in new situations. She has learned a great deal about the world in her first year and she needs a special home where she can continue with her training. She forms strong bonds with the humans in her life, but she takes a little while to warm up to new people.

She will require a home where she will not be around children. Lake is a high-energy dog with a strong drive and she will thrive with an owner who can give her a job. Lake does well with other dogs and because of a high prey drive, we would say no to cats.
