Hi, I’m King and I’m a little dog with a big heart. I’m four years old and weight 8lbs. I was surrendered to the NYC shelter and scared out of my wits at that place. Fortunately, CARE came to my rescue and I ended up in a nice foster home where I feel safe and happy. My foster mom can’t figure out why anyone would give me up because I’m such a good boy. I’m a little timid, but once I trust you, I’ll be totally in love. I’m perfectly housetrained and always do my business outside. I walk well on leash and enjoy trying to out run the squirrels. I haven’t won yet, but I keep trying! I enjoy sitting on laps, but I’m also very adept at being alone and hanging out with my squeaky toys. Did someone mention squeaky toys? I love them!!

While I’m fairly quiet, I’m also a good watchdog and will bark if someone comes to the door or if I have access to a window where I can keep an eye on the neighborhood. Since I’m timid, I’m a little afraid of strangers, but I’m always willing to let people pet me and tell me how cute I am.
Have you noticed how cute I am? I have fabulous bat-like ears and my foster mom likes to call me Batman. Can I be your super hero?

Since I’m so tiny, I’d prefer to be in a home without small children who might accidentally pick me up and drop me. I’m a sturdy guy and I’m nice to children, but my size doesn’t make me a good candidate for little folks.
