We have THE best adopters. Not only great dog parents, they both have a very generous heart. Rachel and Brett Fulton adopted a dog from us, Sierra. We saw them last Saturday getting a picture taken with Santa. They so generously offered to sponsor a dog. Rachel said “We want someone else to love one of those dogs how we love her! ” They looked at our website and wanted to sponsor Bethany. Thank you so much, Rachel and Brett. Thanks for loving Sierra so much and for wanting to help another dog. <3 <3

My name is Bethany. I am the longest dog that has been with CARE. Karen LeCain, the head of CARE, pulled me out of the NYC kill shelter. She could tell from my picture and the wonderful write up from the volunteers, that I was a good girl and I didn’t deserve to be killed.

I am a pitbull and I will love you until the end of time. I am about 3-4 years old and I love my ears being scratched.
Some people say I look mean, some people look away.
My foster mommy and my aunties say I am beautiful and that I’m so full of love.

I wish others would see me like that too. I want a family to call my own. I don’t know if it will ever happen but my foster family says my furrever family is coming soon! I am so excited to have a home to call my own.

I love toys, especially the squeaky ones!! One of my aunties says that I make soft toys explode sometimes, so now I have a whole bunch of Kong toys and bones. I know that these toys are just temporary and I hope my new family lets me have a lot of toys too!!

I would prefer to be the only dog.  Cats though, we are enemies.
