Bonjour! Hello, I’m Meme and the folks at CARE think I’m part short haired Pointer and something else, probably something sugary sweet since I’m so loveable. Since Pointers like to point, let me point out a few of my fabulous qualities!
I’m housetrained, I’m friendly, I like to walk on the leash, I am smart and learning new things fast and I’m fairly quiet. I came from down South where I had a litter of puppies. The puppies all have happy homes, but I was heart worm positive, so had to stay behind to get proper medical attention. Now that I’m done with treatment, I’m up here in the North loving life. My foster mom is working with me on all kinds of fun stuff. I know this great thing called “sit” where all I have to do is sit down and I get a delicious treat! It’s so easy! Sometimes I bark at strangers, but my mom is helping me to know when it’s OK to stop and relax. Again, I get treats for being calm and ignoring distractions. This training stuff is great! Can we learn new things together…with treats???!!
I like to play with toys and have a favorite squeaky toy that I enjoy tossing in the air. I also have a couple of dog friends that I visit and walk with on a regular basis. I’m a little fussy about who I like, but once I get to know someone, I’m always happy to see them. Outside of my toys, walks and treats, I like to chill. I’m happy just lounging on my dog bed with my foster mom near by. Oh, and I LOVE belly rubs.
Meme is 2 years old and can be seen at Petco this Saturday from noon to 3pm. If you can’t make it, let us know and the foster mom will be happy to introduce you to her at another time.
